What should pay attention to when using oil immersed transformer in Winter?
In winter, when temperature drops, what should pay attention to when using oil immersed transformer in Winter?
Check the oil level, replenish oil appropriately
Due to the heat expands and cold contracts with temperature changes, in Winter, some transformer oil will drop, users can determine whether the transformer is lack of oil according to the oil level gauge above the tank.
Normally oil level gauge is blue, if it turns red, it means that the transformer oil level has fallen, if the transformer operates in the low oil level for a long time, it will cause gas protection mis-operation, or cause equipment breakdown and unnecessary accidents. So when oil-immersed transformers are out of oil, we only need to make up the oil properly until it becomes blue again.
Enhanced management in rainy and snowy weather
The snow, water and ice around the transformer assembly platform should be removed in a timely manner, and the maintenance and inspection in rainy and snowy weather should be strengthened.
Do not overload
If the oil-immersed transformer is operated for a long time with overload, it will lead to the continuous heating of the coil inside, accelerate the aging of the insulation, and ultimately cause short circuit and the decomposition of oil, which will shorten the life of the transformer.
